RetireSmart ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains exactly what data the app collects, why, how it is stored, and your rights over it.
Short version: We collect only what is necessary to run the app — your email for sign-in, your financial data for cloud sync, and screenshots only when you choose to import them. We never sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except the services listed below.

The app requests access to your camera and photo library only when you choose to import a holdings screenshot. Specifically:
When an image is submitted for import, it is transmitted over HTTPS to our secure server-side proxy, which forwards it to Google Gemini Vision to extract ticker symbols and share counts. The image is not stored on our servers or in any database after processing is complete. You can use every other feature of the app without ever granting camera or photo access.
RetireSmart offers optional Pro and Family subscriptions and a lifetime purchase, processed through Google Play Billing via RevenueCat. Google handles all payment processing. We do not store your credit card details or payment information. Your subscription status is verified through RevenueCat using a unique anonymous identifier tied to your Google Play account.

All data transmitted between the app and Supabase is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Data stored in Supabase is encrypted at rest. Screenshot images submitted for AI import are transmitted over HTTPS and are not retained after processing. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
Your account and financial data remain in our cloud database (Supabase) for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time using either method below:
RetireSmart is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users aged 13–17 may use the app with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The "child profile" feature within the app is a planning tool for parents and guardians to model education savings goals — it does not collect any data from or about minors, and all data associated with child profiles is entered by the parent or guardian.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data through the app, please contact us at thefinancesanctuary@gmail.com and we will remove it promptly.
